The Universal Vibration Apparatus is a versatile laboratory equipment designed to demonstrate and investigate the fundamental principles of mechanical vibrations. It enables students and researchers to perform a wide range of experiments related to free vibration, forced vibration, damped vibration, resonance, natural frequency, mode shapes, and vibration absorbers on a single modular test frame. The apparatus is widely used in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Mechatronics laboratories for practical education and research in vibration analysis.

The apparatus consists of a heavy-duty fabricated steel frame with interchangeable experimental modules that can be quickly assembled to perform different vibration experiments. A variable-speed motor with an eccentric mass exciter generates controlled forced vibrations, while sensors such as LVDT displacement transducers, tachometers, or accelerometers measure vibration characteristics. Experimental data can be displayed using a digital data acquisition system or connected to a computer for real-time analysis.
