• Rotating Cylindrical Shell: The core of the dryer, typically constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel, or specialty alloys, depending on the material being processed. The shell is slightly inclined to facilitate the gravitational flow of material from the feed end to the discharge end as it rotates.
• Internal Flights (Lifters): A series of specially designed fins or lifters are strategically arranged along the inner wall of the drum. As the dryer rotates, these flights continuously lift the material and cascade it through the hot gas stream, maximizing the surface area exposed for efficient heat and mass transfer.
• Drive Mechanism: An electric motor coupled with a reduction gearbox provides the controlled rotational speed for the drum. This allows for precise adjustment of material residence time within the dryer.
